Blizzard spendet 1 Mio. US-Dollar an die Make-A-Wish Foundation ³

„Für jeden gekauften Alteracbräuhund und Feendrachen, welche bis zum 31. Dezember 2013 gekauft werden, spendet Blizzard 5 € an die Make-A-Wish® Foundation. Für mehr Informationen über Make-A-Wish in den USA, besucht wish.org, und außerhalb der USA worldwish.org.“

Nun hat uns vor wenigen Minuten eine Mail von Josh deBerge dem National Communications Manager der Make-A-Wish Foundation erreicht, in der mitgeteilt wurde, dass Blizzard 1 Mio. US-Dollar an die Make-A-Wish Foundation gespendet hat.

Today Make-A-Wish^® announced a $1 million donation from Blizzard Entertainment, a premier developer and publisher of entertainment software. The donation is based on 50 percent of the total sales in several different countries during November and December 2013 of a special in-game pet, the Alterac Brew Pup, for Blizzard’s award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game, World of Warcraft®.

For several years, Blizzard Entertainment has worked alongside Make-A-Wish to help grant the wishes of children who share the company’s passion for gaming. In addition to making donations totaling nearly $3 million dollars since 2010, Blizzard has invited Make-A-Wish children and their families to the company’s Irvine, Calif., campus for exclusive previews of upcoming Blizzard game content.
